John Straughn spent too many years trapped in Corporate America. Upon escaping, he embarked on a writing journey to explore the questions that haunt him. When not writing, he enjoys losing himself in books, podcasts, TV shows, and long walks—or simply pondering existence.

The Goddess of Loneliness is his debut novel. It started as an origin-of-the-universe fantasy, exploring themes of existence and life’s struggles. Within those themes, a love story emerged. Small at first. Then . . . not so small.
